Northern Rat Control is a pest control business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. It clears rat infestations on recycling plants, pig farms, chicken farms and dairy farms, and also handles domestic properties and smallholdings. The business has been operating for over 40 years and currently manages two recycling plants and thirty four farms across North Yorkshire to Hexham.

The business uses trained terriers to deal with rats, providing instant results at each visit. This traditional method avoids the use of expensive poison and prevents poisoned rats from being eaten by birds of prey. For farms where food is readily available, the business manages rat populations through regular visits. Pig farms are visited every twelve weeks when the pigs go out, with perimeter clean-ups carried out each time. Chicken farms receive similar visits, and the business is on call if farmers notice a rise in numbers. Bait stations are put down where the law requires them.

Northern Rat Control also specialises in wasp nest removal and pigeon pest control. The business covers the North East of England, including Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear and Cleveland, plus North Yorkshire, Cumbria, the Lake District, Carlisle and the Scottish borders.
