Privacy notice
Short version: no tracking cookies, no advertising, and the contact form is used only to reply to you.
Who is responsible
PestControl.Trade, 7 Princes Street, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, is the controller of personal data on this site. Contact us through the contact form.
What we collect and why
- The contact form: your name, email address, any business name and your message. We use them to reply, and to correct or add a listing if that is what you asked. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you. Messages are kept for 12 months, then deleted.
- Spam protection: forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes your IP address and browser signals to tell people from bots.
- Server logs: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and stop attacks.
- Business listings: we publish business details that firms make public themselves (name, phone, website, town). A sole trader can ask for their listing to be changed or removed at any time.
What we do not do
No advertising, no tracking or analytics cookies, and no sale of data. The site sets no cookies unless a pest controller signs in to manage a listing, when a single sign-in cookie is used.
Who processes it
Cloudflare (hosting, email delivery, Turnstile) and the email provider that holds our inbox. Data may be processed outside the UK under the safeguards UK law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, or object to how we use it. Use the contact form. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
